The weather was splendid for tanning this day, but too sunny for passing play. This was a drawback for both Ratten Kameraten and Elve Elegante. The elves won the coin toss, but decided to kick anyhow. 14.000 rats and 13.000 elves filled the stadium, and before the match started they invaded the pitch, leaving 5 elves stunned and 1 rat.  Vetle Werfer attemps a pass, but is inaccurate because of the sunny conditions. Luckily Manfred von Rinnstein caught the ball instead. In turn 2 Willy Vånd scores; 1-0 to the rats. The elves are angered; Fluffy Papaya seriously injures Jabo Schreck, but the apothecary saved him. Ratten Kameraten has some of the most experienced medics in AnBBL...Alatuah Battlepotion made a long pass to Fluffy Papaya, whos is deep in the skaven side of the field, guarded by half his team. In turn 3 Rattus Norvegicus found a way through the opposition, blitzed Fluffy Papaya, but failed and tripped over himself. Now it was easy for Fluffy Papaya to make a quick pass to Sprintbird George and equal the score. 1-1. In turn 5 Der Rattenführer made a touch down for the rats, shielded by Rattus Norvegicus. In turn 6 the elves responded; Fluffy Papaya made another touch down for Elve Elegante; 2-2. The already angered audience now started a riot, and the clock had to be moved 1 turn back. In turn 7 Jorge Jordrotte made a touch down for the rats, the score is now 3-2, but the elves have just enough time to equal the score. In turn 8 Fluffy Papaya makes an easy 2+ dodge, ending the first half 3-3, giving the elves a slight advantage for the second half.
In the second half Hannibal Hector was brilliant enough to set up a perfect defense, but this didn´t stop the elves from scoring in their 2nd turn, this time Asbadd Branchgleam ran into the rats endzone with the ball. The score was 4-3, and Elve Elegante lead the game for the first time. In turn 4 skaven is close to the elves endzone with the ball, Fluffy Papaya blitzed Willy Vånd, but was to revolted to make a block against him. Re rolling didn´t help either. In their 4th turn Jorge Jordrotte made his second T.D. for the day, equaling the score to 4-4. The elves lost the ball in their fallowing drive, and Hunchback the Hunk made a surpising T.D. after 2 GFIs. The score is 5-4 to Ratten Kameraten. Elve Elegante still has time to achieve a draw, but Ihlaon Throwmaster seemed to brake under pressure. He failed to pick up the ball even with a re roll, ruining the elves chance to equal the score. Several gutter runners rushed towards the thrower, but they failed to get hold of the ball, and thus the game ended 5-4 to Ratten Kameraten.
The game was a close race and very exciting, but Ihlaon Throwmaster lost his nerves completely in the end of the game, ruining the Elve Elegante´s passing game.
Most valuable player on Elve Elegante was Targipl Ironseer, because of his long range, who greatly helped marking several key skaven players.
Most valuable player on Ratten Kameraten was Jabo Schreck, after his remarkeble recovery. He made the greatest comeback in AnBBL since Zkootah/Scootah. |
