"We felt we owned the game in the first half, but in the second we nearly let Purple Bluebirds into the game" Comments Wychwetyl. "We won the first half 4-1, but in the second we only won 2-1. Anyway, it was a great win for Wychwetyl's Troupe."
Leading 2-0 as early as turn 4, Wychwetyl's Troupe sets up for the kick. The kick skatters close the line of scrimmage. It's a BLITZ! The 3-0 TD comes in turn 5. On the next kick Purple Bluebirds has a new plan, lining up most players at LOS. It fails, as Reven Getod Arats fails a two dice block. Yeah, that's right - DOUBLE SKULLZ on the reroll! Again the only thing to stop Wychwetyl's Troupe's fast and agile players from scoring is Eightball McClansman. The pick up is to easy for the elves, and the 4-0 TD comes in turn 7.
As headcoach of Purple Bluebirds, The Ref is only seconds away from conceeding the match. The players promise to improve, so The Ref decides to play on a bit longer. A RIOT breakes out on the kick, and the referee sets back the clock one turn. Purple Bluebirds receives the ball in their turn 6. This time thei line up with a strong left side, and it works. In turn 7,  Ivan Shureglove has the ball only a few squares away from the EZ. But he has to dodge through Wychwetyl. Two 4+ and one 3+ dodge roll later, Ivan Shureglove finally gets to the endzone.
Blunders:
Ivan Shureglove hands off the ball to Balldur Fetcher who's waiting in the EZ for an easy score. But does he catch it? Take a guess.. Luckily it bounce back to Ivan Shureglove, and though he's blitzed later dropping the ball. Balldur Fetcher then redeemes himself and picks up the loose ball for a TD. Also failed pickups caused trouble later on, and there was really nothing Purple Bluebirds could do to catch up in the end.
Purple Bluebirds put on Jo 'Slippery' McGregor in stead of Eightball McClansman by mistake - leaving them without their top QB a whole drive in offence. Jo 'Slippery' McGregor could'nt even pick up the ball from the prepared pocket..
Wychwetyl's Troupe players actually managed to fumble a pass, fail a dodge and trip when leaping and when going for it. Almost all on rerolled 1's.
A post game comment by The Ref: "Wychwetyl and his boys exploited every little misshap, and scored many fast oneturn TD's. Anoying!! Well, maybe we should'nt have shouted timber before the match.. Think them wooden spirits was a bit upset.." |
