Wisened from the previous encounter with the Gobstompers, the vampires were on point this match.
Ball was freed from the Gobstompers after the greenskins rushed a few too many squares forward, and after about 8 scatters, it finally ended up in Vakasha's hands.
Lillith fled the field, swearing never to play Blood Bowl again, after being hit by troll vomit. Luckily the vampiric regeneration kicked in, allowing her back on the field in drive two. She did however keep a low profile for the rest of the match.
It was rumoured that the orcs had bribed the referees, but although a fairly obvious foul on Lovecraft, turn 2, by their thrower was overlooked, the little fellow seemed to have hawk eyes on every foul after. Sending off orcs left and right. I guess that specific thrall is just too ugly for equal rights.
A fair few rolls were offered to nuffle, by the vampires, which paid off in the second half, and Lioncourt took this opportunity to show off his awesome passing skills, honed over millennia.
This did however allow the orcs a fairly unopposed touchdown, since they could box in every player left from the Crimson Tide.
A very good defencive push by their strip baller, also prevented a third touchdown by the vamps. |
