A very sunny day on the pitch this Thorsday, Good weather to watch the brutality in crystal clear light. And what a bloodbath. The orcs started out failing their pickup, and decided violence was the answer. By turn four, there was only one vampire and six thralls on the field, and the orcs were up one touchdown. Luckily, a clud blocked out the worst of the sunlight on the next drive.
Vakasha's strong blitzing game saw two big'uns surfed, and she managed to carry the ball to the touchdown line with only a single refill from a bloodbag.
The good showing, made Lioncourt step back out from the ko box, in the second half, where he was procrastinating with at least half the thralls. But the sun reappeared, yet again preventing passing play.
The orcs had a big un sent off due to fouling Igor the thrall, and the rest of the team ended up furiously bashing the poor fellow for several turns, while lioncourt and a single other thrall managed to run off with the ball. He barely managed to score, even alone, as he failed two bloodlusts in a row, draining every drop out of the poor companion.
Final drive seemed to allow the vampires a third touchdown, but with only six players on the field at the start of the drive, they could not keep the orcs from picking up and tossing the ball downfield with an impressive long bomb, out of reach from anyone. Then they continued taking out all but three remaining opposition players at turn 16. All in all a good game for all involved. |
