After todays smashing defeat in their first match against halfings, the vampire coach was rather discouraged to face yet another team of small disappointments. Luckily, the Linemen weren't as lucrative to outside aid, so the amount of blocking strength were diminished.
The Tide's team captain continued to disappoint, though. As no player managed to roll more ones' in a row. I guess hubris breeds defeat.
Lillith made an early touchdown, and a dearing blitz saw her deep downfield in the next drive. But she failed a rush for the ball, and was promtly gangfouled almost into oblivion. The lackuster apothecary wanted to use silver tools for the operation, and almost killed the ancient vampire. Also resulting in a failed regeneration roll. It will be interesting to see how the next match turns out, without the top-scoring matchwinner in the lead on this old team.
Luckily, the trusty thrall, Renfield managed to make his sire proud, by salvaging the horrid situation.
The game showed all signs of ending 3-0, as Vakasha stood one square away from the touchdown line at the end of second half, but a single die block from a blitzing halfling took her down, and stunned the vampiric blitzer. She regained the ball next turn, but only after activating, and were beaten down again, by a small crowd of angry hin. The halflings then proceeded to carry the ball downfield, away from all interference, and ended the match 2-1. |
